🎻 “Golden” (from K-Pop Demon Hunters) – Violin & Cello Cover by The Chapel Hill Duo

We really enjoyed arranging and recording this version of “Golden” from K-Pop Demon Hunters. It’s such a great song — emotional, powerful, and full of those magical moments that work beautifully on strings.

Our aim with this cover was to keep the spirit of the original while letting the violin and cello bring out some of the warmth and depth in the melody.

There’s something special about how acoustic instruments can make a modern track feel a little more personal. We filmed this as a live performance and had a great time putting it together.

Romeo and Juliet by Dire Straits. An oldie, but what a tune. We played this while guests were seated before the wedding ceremony in this unique venue. Yes… It’s a cave. The Crystal Grotto in Painshill Park is an absolutely stunning venue for a wedding, and it could not have been a more perfect day. It was such an intimate ceremony, just 16 guests, the bride and groom, the photographer, and us.

Young and Beautiful by Lana Del Rey could be the answer if you’re looking for an alternative choice for your Bridal entrance and want to go for something a little bit different. Don’t get us wrong, we’re a HUGE fan of traditional when it comes to weddings, you can’t go wrong with something like Pachelbel’s Canon in D for your big moment. If classical music isn’t your thing an old-school gem like Elvis’ Can’t Help Falling in Love can work well too.

Some songs have been used for Bridal entrances a lot, Perfect by Ed Sheeran and A Thousand Years by Christina Perri to name just a couple. Now, just because other people have used a song doesn’t mean that you can’t, we are a big believer in the fact that whatever song you use, your Bridal entrance will be unique because it is YOU walking down the aisle. Especially if you have a personal connection with the song. We’ve played for hundreds of Bridal entrances and not a single one has been boring or samey.

Sometimes you want to stand out though and choosing something a little bit different like Lana Del Rey’s Young and Beautiful can be a great way to stand out.

This Bridal entrance at Prestwold Hall was just gorgeous and our Violin and Cello version of Yound and Beautiful worked so well in the grand Library. What do you think, could Young and Beautiful be a contender for your aisle song?

Snuff by Slipknot. Another piece of musical genius from a heavy metal band that translates so so well onto the violin and cello. This alt-rock ballad is so emotionally charged and really tugs at the heart. Enjoy 🙂
