It was wonderful to be back at @theoldhall in Ely at the end of July, our first time back since before the first lockdown! We couldn’t resist taking a few snaps of the outdoor ceremony area and grounds – just beautiful!
The Bride asked us to learn a new song for her entrance music, Latch by Sam Smith, we played A Thousand Years by Christina Perri, Perfect by Ed Sheeran and You Are the Reason by Callum Scott for the Signing of the Register and then we played them out to This Will Be Everlasting Love by Natalie Cole. They stopped halfway back up the aisle for a quick group photo and the Bride and Groom couldn’t help having a quick dance to our music. Congratulations guys!
Feeling a bit emotional 🥰 Thank you Ariana Grande and Justin Bieber for this amazing song 🙏 Times are difficult and it’s even more important to focus on the positive things in life. We feel incredibly privileged to be able to spend the time ‘stuck’ together making music 🎶
It’s hard work for musicians and other creatives right now, aside from the difficulties caused by losing most of our income, we thrive on performing to audiences and making people happy – it’s one of the things that drives us, and it’s been taken away. BUT, continuing to make music together is keeping us going, and we hope to bring a little happiness to others in the process! 😊
So, do us a favour and give our video a share. Send it to your friends, send it to your family, send it to any key workers you know to brighten their day. Stay safe everyone, we’ll get through this ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜💖
For any brides and grooms struggling to think of music for their big day, we think this could be a really special choice. We can see a lot of brides walking down the aisle to this in the future, it would make amazing entrance music or even a great first dance song.
It’s Wedding fair season and we’ve got some top tips on how to make the most of the Weddings fairs you attend.
This week has certainly been quieter than the last, but by no means less exciting. The one Wedding we played at took place at The Knights Hill Hotel near Kings Lynn, we were booked to play during the Wedding Breakfast and as evening guests arrived.
The happy couple say their vows at the Wedding Ceremony in St Michael & All Angels’ Church Brooksby.
The first wedding was in the idyllic setting of Lanwades Hall near Newmarket, an incredible building with stunning grounds to match! We were particularly blown away by the beauty of the ceremony room – just look at those windows!
Persil the Owl delivered the rings for the Church Ceremony.
Working in the wedding industry we come across some pretty amazing wedding ideas; sweetie carts, gaming casinos, photo booths… and today we got to work alongside an owl! 🦉
The Bride and Groom unleash their inner rock-stars while they have a go on our instruments.
Today was our first time visiting the amazing Childerley Long Barn for a wedding, and it really is a LONG Barn! Thought to be one of the longest timber-framed barns in the UK.
We very rarely get to play at two weddings on the same day as they inevitably clash. However our bookings today worked out perfectly; the first wanted us for their Church Ceremony at midday and the second, at the opposite end of the county, for their Wedding Breakfast at 4pm. And of course it would be 29’C, the hottest day of the year so far!
Our Wedding booking today was one of the longer bookings we’ve had in a while, but also one of the most rewarding! Set in the beautiful building and grounds of Hemswell Court, Lincolnshire, we were booked to play during the drinks reception and the wedding breakfast.
a Violinist’s-eye view of the perfect outdoor Ceremony at Brookfield Barn.
Living in the UK we can’t always expect the weather to be sunny, especially in Summer! We always have a contingency plan, just in case the weather turns grim at the last second! However, today was not one of those days. We had the pleasure of returning to Brookfield Barn to play at – what we would call – a perfect summer wedding.
The Chapel Hill Duo play their Violin and Cello version of ME! by Taylor Swift featuring Brendon Urie.
Stream on Spotify: https://open.spotify.com/album/04SEko… We’ve been so excited about covering Taylor Swift and Brendon Urie’s new song ‘ME!’ 🦋😻🌈☂️💗 We’ve really been able to get our fingers stuck into this one, probably one of our most complicated arrangements yet! 🤓🎻🎶
