We’ve never once missed a wedding in over 6 years of performing at them, so we certainly weren’t about to let a freak snow storm in the middle of March stop us from getting to this one!
After an hour of battling through blizzard conditions we finally made it to the Wedding Venue in North Lincolnshire and despite the freezing temperatures the snow had created a beautiful wintery scene (perfect for wedding photos!)
We played a lovely mixture of music for the Ceremony including extracts from Handel’s Water Music as guests arrived, ‘The Book of Love’ by Peter Gabriel for the entrance of the Bride, ‘A Thousand Years’ by Christina Perri for the signing of the register and ‘Marry You’ by Bruno Mars for the couples exit.
The couple requested a great selection of songs for the drinks reception including the Star Wars Main Theme, ‘Shape of You’ by Ed Sheeran, ‘Tale as Old as Time’ from Beauty & The Beast and ‘Don’t You Worry Child’ by Swedish House Mafia. And everything in between! With guests ranging from 6 years – 80 years there really was something on the playlist for everyone!
The whole day was filled with love and friendship, and more snow as it turned out! We had fun getting home, but it was certainly worth it for such a beautiful wedding 😊
