Living in the UK we can’t always expect the weather to be sunny, especially in Summer! We always have a contingency plan, just in case the weather turns grim at the last second! However, today was not one of those days. We had the pleasure of returning to Brookfield Barn to play at – what we would call – a perfect summer wedding.
Set outside in the beautiful grounds, we played a mixture of classical and slow pop music as guests took their seats. Everyone was so eager to watch the bride walk down the aisle – especially the groom! It was worth the wait, Bride and Bridal party made a beautiful entrance down the aisle as we played ‘How Does A Moment Last Forever’ by Celine Dion from the new Beauty & The Beast Movie, a special request from the Bride herself.
Later on in the ceremony we played during the signing of the register; ‘Everything I Do’ Brian Adams, ‘All I Ask of You’ from Phantom of the Opera and ‘Tale as Old as Time’ from Beauty & The Beast.
At the end of the Ceremony the happy newly weds walked back down the aisle to one of their favourite songs; ‘This Is Me’ from The Greatest Showman.
Noticed the pattern yet? Yep, our couple loved their film music! And who can blame them, there are some crackers out there! Later on during the drinks reception we got to play some amazing songs including ‘How Far I’ll Go’ from Moana, ‘A Whole New World’ from Aladdin (gots to love the Disney!) ‘Tightrope’ from The Greatest Showman and ‘Flashlight’ from Pitch Perfect. The couple also requested modern songs including ‘Walk Me Home’ P!nk, ‘Shotgun’ George Ezra and ‘7 Years’ Lucas Graham, and classics such as ‘You Make My Dreams’ Daryl Hall & John Oates, ‘Can’t Take My Eyes Off You’ Frankie Valli and ‘Can’t Help Falling in Love’ Elvis Presley.
We received so many lovely comments from friends and family about how the music made the day that extra bit special. The whole day went so smoothly thanks to the amazing team at Brookfield Barn!
